As some of you might have noticed, I haven’t blogged for a whole week! I’ve had my hands full doing fun stuff all week so I simply forgot to post anything on my own blog.
I’ve done a lot, but I’ll try to summarize the main events of this last week. I’m bound to forget a lot of it, but the main events is here all right
Monday, Tuesday
I didn’t do much, mostly cleaning my apartment but I also went downtown at times and did a little work on the summer course in XHTML/CSS.
Wednesday
First off, Lasse and Anna came and paid me a visit and they borrowed my computer to buy a gift, then we drove down to Karlstad centre, where they went into shops and I met up with Robert and Mattias and the three of us jumped on a bus to Bergvik. Mattias then jumped up two stops later because he just wanted to travel with us a small pert of the way since he had laundry to do.
Thursday
Robert finally got the key to his new apartment so I and Mattias joined him to take a look at it. It’s a square 18square metres, a toiled and a tiny kitchen along the wall. It’s only him so he’ll probably survive there and he might have room for most of the things he want to have there. We then waited for a bus to his place where we disassembled his tables, ceiling lamps, basically anything that we could take with us and didn’t belong in the apartment. When we were finished, Mattias booked a car from a carpool and then when we had a look at the timetable for buses we saw that there would be one in about 1 minute. I and Mattias jumped into our boots and ran out. Once there, I noticed that I had forgotten my wallet so I had to run back, up to Roberts apartment, got my wallet and ran all the way back. Luckily the bus was 3 minutes late so I got back even before the bus came.
We drove his things to his new apartment and then Johan, Sandra and Mattias came to my place after that and we played Risk and card games until 11pm.
Friday
I took the bus to Mattias’s place and we talked a little and had some fun testing his new alarm clock, then Robert sent a text message that if I wanted to travel with them to Filipstad in their car I should go to his place so that they wouldn’t have to wait and that they’d be there soon. 30 minutes later when I got there, they hadn’t arrived there yet. I went home (10 miutes) and then sat in my apartment waiting for 1½ hour, Robert’s ’soon’ is quite a while. I got some reading done though. I was a little irritated because I could have stayed att Mattias’s place much longer.
Saturday
We went up 7.00am had some breakfast, picked up Robert and drove to Örebro. I drove the first part to Karlskoga where mom took over and drove the rest of the way. We arrived in Örebro at 10.00am but just drove around trying to find Chipper, where I was going to chip my Wii. After about 10 minutes we found it but sadly they still hadn’t opened. At 10.30am the man who was working there came, half an hour late, and finally opened the shop. There was another man there from Karlskoga who also wanted a chip for his Wii. He had a newer model and it’s more expensive to chip them because Nintendo tries to make it as hard as possible for them to chip their Wiis. It would take some time so we walked around in Örebro in their stores and sat on a bench enjoying the sun. Then they finally called that my Wii was done and I went and got it. Then we went to the car and decided to have a look at the castle since it was such nice weather. We went around the whole castle and saw some kind of ‘art’ in the water. On one side there were huge boxes for moving (but a lot larger) in the water and on the other side there was wooden eggs with the sunny side up floating around.
We then drove out to Marieberg Shopping Mall and found that they were expanding, it’s going to be a lot bigger once they’re done. It’s not just a small extension, it’ll be almost ½ or 1/3 times bigger than it was before! They had turned off the waterfall indoors so there wasn’t much to look at once we had seen all there was so we tried every elevator there was at least once, and when mom and sis still wasn’t done we took a bench somewhere and sat talking about games, programming and tried how many text messages we could spam each others phone with ![]()
When we finally got home, I quickly connected my Wii to the TV and I, sis and Robert sat playing until after midnight.
Sunday
Guess what! I’ve been playing Wii much of the day, and doing 2 chapters on my summer course. Not much out today in other words, just marvelling at my Wii. I read today that I can even set it up as a web server now that I’ve chipped it. There’s more to do than just homebrew games, there’s loads of programs also!
