My love for music is back!

I haven’t been listening to music on my own computer for quite a while now because I’m sick of iTunes many faults.

  1. iTunes takes an eternity to load.
  2. iTunes starts other processes, one to check if I connect an iPhone (don’t have one), another to check if I connect an iPod (stopped using it) and yet another to check that all processes are running.
  3. iTunes installs QuickTime and MobileMe either you want it to or not
  4. Apple doesn’t bother to try if it really works before releasing a new version, once it ended up even creating a bluescreen on certain Windows computers.
  5. You must use iTunes in order to be able to put songs on your iPod or iPhone, and you’re locked to only one computer even though you have several at home.

See my point? It’s freaking irritating!

Luckily enough, I decided to try the new version of Winamp. It’s been several years since I last used winamp and then I didn’t like it because iTunes was way better. Now it is the other way around, iTunes is slow and installs programs I don’t want while Winamp has the programs I want and a lot of the good functionality that iTunes introduced.

Hurray for Winamp and the world of music!!!
