Congratulations Norway on winning Eurovision Song Contest 2009! Alexander Rybak really earned it, his song was really good. Had I lived close by I would have been there when he came back to Sweden to congratulate him, but I live too far away to go there just for that.
Anyway, next year Eurovision will be in a neighboring country (I live in Sweden) so I’m going to check the ticket prices for being there. It would be really fun to watch it live! If the tickets are too expensive however, I’m afraid I can’t afford it as a student
Congratulations again Alexander on winning Eurovision Song Contest 2009! You earned it!
Yesterday two nuclear subs, one english and one french, collided with each others. I don’t know why but englishmen must really like the thrill from collisions. Luckily in this case, they only ended up with dents and scrapes on the hull and nothing more serious.
Since we’re already on the subject of almost being hit by something else (previous post), I thought I might as well continue.
In this video, an RAF bomber is almost hit by an RAF Tornado that suddenly appears from the left. A quick reaction from the pilot saved them, after which he turns around to checkĀ that the other plane is still in one piece, which it luckily is.
They believe one probable cause might be that it’s “hard to hear the trains”, but we’ve got similar crossings in Sweden and I’ve never seen or heard of anyone trying to do that. Sure, they’re more aggressive drivers in England, but this is just plain stupid.
I thinks it was a smart move by Network Rail to release the videos to the media so that this gets some attention.
I saw a show on TV, Dr. G (I’d be embarrassed if I ran a show with that name), where a man for no reason crashed into a fence at slow speed and then died. Of course that’s strange and is investigated.
Now, how his corpse is examined is what disgusts me. I thought they’d just do a quick scan, see if an organ had broken or something like that, bu no. Dr. G goes directly for his head, cuts it open and picks out his brain and then picks at it to pieces to examine it. Well, guess what. The problem wasn’t in his head.
The Vietnam special was very fun and I’ve collected a few photos to show the fun moments, followed by pictures of all the times Jeremy fell off his motorcycle and lastly, a few nice pictures of Vietnam.
Their mission was to buy a vehicle and travel from the southern Vietnam to the northern Vietnam.
It looks lovely to just take a trip, but I’d like to go on a motorcycle trip through Europe. Perhaps I should by a video camera and film it?
I’m watching “Are you smarter than a 5th grader” on TV now and I just hate the fact that they have ad break every 5 minutes. Here in Sweden we only have ads ever 15 minutes so therefore we see the logo before an ad break and then see it again directly after when they in America returns to the show.
My guess is that about 20% of the show consists of
“We’re right back after the break” followed by the program logo
and *program logo* “Welcome back” and a short review of what happened before the break.
Must be irritating to have ads every 5 minutes, that way the viewer never gets the time to enjoy the show before someone says “And now some more ads so we can gain a lot of money on you watchers every 5 minutes because we prioritize money, and not caring for the viewers”.
